Curing Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 110-130 °C (230-265 °F) and cure for 30 minutes.
Cernit should not be baked at a higher temperature than Cernit recommendations!
Cernit is great for making faux precious stones, jewellery, sculpting figurines and modelling ornamental pieces. Cernit is too soft for cane making.
Our clay is direct from the supplier hence it is newly manufactured and very fresh and may need leaching before use.
Cernit is Vegan friendly.
You may get the new 2024 packaging or the original packaging.
Please note the colours shown differ from screen to screen and may not be a true representation of the actual clay colour.

I switched from another well known clay brand after finding that it easily snapped, even after baking at the correct temperature for an hour with sufficient conditioning. The Cernit clay is hardy once baked and has an expensive feel. I bent my test-pieces in half and it did not snap! Some of the colours are a bit softer but easily fixed by leeching between two sheets of paper. I will only use Cernit clay from now on!
